Mission Impossible: Accomplished

My beloved Chicago Cubs made it back to the NLCS for the first time since 2003 (we all know what happened then). The problem for me was the timing of game one. I broadcast all of Illinois State’s volleyball games as a part of my graduate assistantship, and the Redbirds were playing Southern Illinois at the very same time the Cubs and Mets were playing at Citi Field in New York.

The NBA pulls a Roger Goodell, completely get ruling wrong

The Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavs were playing a crucial game five on Tuesday night. The Bulls came out strong in the first quarter. The Cavs dominated in the second period. After the third quarter the Cavs led the Bulls 80-71.

Then the fourth quarter happened.

At first glance, it looked like Taj Gibson made a punk move and kicked the Cavs token scrappy-bad-try hard-energy guy Matthew Dellavedova, but upon replay the whole world saw what really happened. Continue reading

Thursday Night Sports Recap

Thursday night mark the start of the NHL for the rest of the league. That means the Blackhawks got their Stanley Cup campaign underway on the road against the Dallas Stars. Of course the awful Thursday Night Football game was on (last night wasn’t so awful though). Last night featured the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans. Beats By Dre Banned by NFL in New Deal with Bose

Dr. Dre has made a fortune off of his popular noise-cancelling headphones Beats By Dre (Dre made a cool $620 million this past year). If you have watched NFL games the past two years you should have noticed commercials with NFL players like Colin Kaepernick and Richard Sherman wearing the slick headphones. Pretty much every player listening to music before and after games has picked Beats by Dre as their headphones of choice.
